Kiss the Bottle or maybe Ache on a bad day.

Jets to brazil are incredible. The newest record is my favorite. Their live shows are really intense and entertaining as well.

Blake is brilliant, and one of the best lyricists I know of. I imagine he's kind of a control freak...but with that kinda talent, who wouldn't be? I don't know if he's a prick or not, but I imagine he's just like the rest of us...good days and bad...its just people really like to exagerrate any time blake doesn't act completely courteous and kind and giving. Like expecting him to be like mother theresa or some shit. He's like us...and that's why we are so attracted to his music. It's the people's music.

    And what are your thoughts?

    Peace,
    Alecia

West Bay Invitational, Donovan, Bivouac right now... I do love them all, though. It's all in the lyrics-- how can you feel so satisfied listening to something so depressing? It's a paradox.

gonna go with Jet Black. JTB are good, but why did Blake have to become a stoner, and get all happy. Loving his piano and all. Blake used to hang out on the floor before shows, and talk to people who came up to him, so I find it hard to believe he is a prick. I lived in Berkeley, and I knew people who knew him, and I never heard an unpleasant word about his personality.

"Sea Foam Green" is the first Jawbreaker song I ever heard (on the Punk USA comp way back in '94 ...or was it '95?), so I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for it.

I think "Ashtray Monument," "Accident Prone," "Do You Still Hate Me?" "Jet Black" and "In Sadding Around" could all be counted as favorites depending on the day, but the top honor goes to "Sluttering (May 4th)." God, I love that song.

I like Jets To Brazil, but I love Jawbreaker. I've never really heard too much about Blake being a prick, but I've also never met him so who knows.

Jawbreaker=way better than Jets, sad but true. Jets are OK, but Knapsack were what Jets should have been (speaking of which: Blair Shehan fans---what do you think of the full-length Jealous Sound album vs. the first EP or his Knapsack stuff?)

Amen to your comments about the May 4th song: "Sluttering" may have saved my life...at the least, it provided great catharsis when I found out my good friend was sleeping with my sweetie.

The whole "Dear You" album, actually, was a landmark acheivement, not only for me and tons of other people personally, but also because it helped push pop-punk into the mainstream...where it was immediately hijacked by bands with nothing to say, or at best, bands that are only figuring out now, 10 years on, that there are important things worth writing about, but I digress.
